Apple Airport Cards - WEP Configuration

Aim of this article:

This article provides information for configuring the Airport or Airport Extreme card to connect to a Wireless access point, or Airport Base Station, using WPA encryption.

Configure the Airport Card:

Begin by turning the Airport card on.

Airport Cards - Select Other

Select Other to be presented with a settings window.

Airport Cards - Configure WEP 64 

On the Closed Network screen enter the following:

Wireless Security: WEP Password (shown above) or WEP 40/128-bit hex (shown below)

Airport Cards - Configure WEP 64

Network Name: Enter the name you configured on your Base Station or Access point (also referred to as the SSID).

Password: Enter the WEP password or key you have configured on your Base Station or Access point.

Click OK.  The connection should now be succesfully established.
