Entourage X - Setting up an Alias E-Mail Address

Aim of this article:

This article provides instructions for configuring Entourage X (For OS X) to send and receive e-mail using your alias e-mail address.

Required Services:

A mail alias must be first configured on the Zen mailservers. For details on obtaining an e-mail alias address please see the e-mail Beginners Guide.

Configuring Entourage X:

After installing and opening Entourage you should see a screen similar to the one below:

From the program menu, click on Tools.

From the drop-down menu select Accounts.

Click New.

This will take you to the Account Setup Assistant. Enter the name you would like to appear when someone receives an e-mail from you.

Click on the right arrow in the bottom right corner, to proceed to step 2.

Enter your alias in the E-mail address window.

Click on the right arrow, to proceed to step 3.

The Incoming mail server is a POP server and both the Incoming and Outgoing server should be set to mailhost.zen.co.uk.

Click on the right arrow, to proceed to step 4.

The username and password that have been provided to you in your Technical Details email should be entered here. The username is should be entered with the @zen.co.uk portion, e.g. zen12345@zen.co.uk.  Please take care when entering the passord as it is case sensitive.

Click on the right arrow, to proceed to the final step.

For Account name' enter a description to uniquely identify the account. In this example, Zen Email Account.

Click on Finish.

You will now see the Account listed in the Accounts window.

Close this window and you are ready to start using your e-mail alias account.
