BT Voyager USB - Driver Installation

Aim of this article:

This article provides installation instructions for the BT Voyager USB Wireless Client adapter.

NOTE: Drivers for the Voyager 1010 are only available for Windows, these should have been provided with the device.

Installation:

When you begin the installation of the BT Voyager 1010 Wireless USB Adapter you should ensure the device is not plugged in to your computer.

Begin the installation by placing the supplied CD in to your computers' CD drive. The installation program should auto-run, displaying a screen similiar to the one below.

NOTE: If the CD does not auto-run, go to My Computer and double-click on your CD drive. Double-click on setup.exe to begin the installation.

Click Install BT Voyager 1010/1020.

Click Install your BT Voyager 1010/1020. The Install Shield Wizard will now open.

Click Next.

Read the licensing agreement, and click Yes to continue the installation.

Select Any other wireless device and then click Next.

Select a destination folder, or leave the default setting. Click Next when you are happy with your selection.

The Install Wizard will start copying the appropriate files to your computer. Once completed you will see a screen similar to the one below.

Connect the Voyager, as instructed. The Found New Hardware Wizard will start.

Ensure Install the software automatically (Recommended) is selected. Click Next.

Windows will look for the correct drivers. If you are running Windows XP you will see the following message.

Click Continue Anyway.

The New Hardware Wizard has now completed its task. Click Finish.

With the drivers installed, and the hardware installed, the BT Voyager is now ready for use. Click Finish.

You can now begin to configure your Voyager for use as part of your Wireless network.
