OS X Mail 10.3 - Setting up an Alias E-mail Address
Aim of this article:
This article provides instructions for configuring OS X Mail 10.3 to send and receive e-mail using your alias e-mail address.
Required Services:
A mail alias must be first configured on the Zen mailservers. For details on obtaining an e-mail alias address please see the e-mail Beginners Guide.
Configuring OS X Mail 10.3:
Open OS X Mail, by clicking Go -> Applications -> OSX Mail.

Click Mail on the program menu and then click Preferences. This opens the Accounts window at the Account Information tab.

Enter the following information:
Account Type: POP
Description: Enter a description to uniquely identify the account. In this example, 'Zen Email Alias Address'.
Email Address: Joe.Bloggs@zen.co.uk 1
Incoming Mail Server: mailhost.zen.co.uk
User Name: This is case sensitive, and should be entered as shown in your Technical Details e-mail, without the '@zen' portion.
Password: This is case sensitive, and should be entered as shown in your Technical Details e-mail.
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mailhost.zen.co.uk
NOTE: If you wish to use multiple aliases with the same account, please enter all your configured aliases in the 'Email Address' field. All addresses must be seperated by commas.
Example:
Email Address: zen12345@zen.co.uk, Joe.Bloggs@zen.co.uk
Close the window, and choose to Save the settings.
