iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch Email Setup
Aim of this article:
This article provides instructions for configuring a new account on your Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to send and receive email from your Zen Broadband mail account.
NOTE: If you already have an account configured for receiving e-mail but can not send please see the Related Articles section at the bottom of this page.
Screenshots are from the iPhone, but the setup process is the same on the iPad and iPod Touch.
Setting up e-mail:
From your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch menu press the 'Settings' option.

Scroll down and then press Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Press Add Account...
Press Other followed by Add Mail Account...

Enter the following by pressing the greyed out text on this screen:
Name: Your name as you wish it to appear on all your emails.
Address: Your Zen e-mail address.
Password: Enter the password for your Zen email address.
Description: Enter a description of your choice to remind you which account this relates to.
Click Save. Your device will check settings and then load another page.

Select POP. Next enter the detail as shown below:
Under the heading Incoming Mail Server :
Host Name: mailhost.zen.co.uk
User Name: Your full Zen email address - e.g. zen123456@zen.co.uk or joe.bloggs@subdomain.myzen.co.uk
Password: Your Zen e-mail password should already be populated.
Under the heading Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
Host Name: mailhost.zen.co.uk
User Name: Your full Zen email address - e.g. zen123456@zen.co.uk or joe.bloggs@subdomain.myzen.co.uk
Password: Your Zen e-mail password.
Press Save. The device will now verify the details are correct, incidated at the top of the screen with the loading wheel and text stating "Verifying POP account information".
Once verified the screen will briefly flash with 'POP account verified' and then show a summary of all email accounts on the device. Your device is now configured to send and receive email for your Zen e-mail account.
NOTE: If you are unable to send email when not connected to your Zen Internet service you should contact the Internet Service Provider, Mobile carrier or the administrator of the network you are connected to for assistance. This is because a number of providers block outbound email on the default port - port 25 so they will need to provide you with an alternative means of sending email.
