Access Your Mailbox Spam Folder

Aim of this Article

If you have enabled the Zen Spam Filter for your Zen mailbox (see Related Article) you may wish to access the Spam folder provided. This article describes how to access this.

How to Access the Spam Folder

The spam folder actually acts as a separate mailbox, as such you will need to configure an additional account in your e-mail application or if you use Webmail you will use a slightly different username to login.

In order to access your spam folder simply append /spam to your mailbox username, for example;

  • Defaul Mailbox Username: zen12345@zen.co.uk
  • Spam Folder Username: zen12345/spam@zen.co.uk

For sub-domain mailboxes the /spam should be placed before the @ symbol, for example;

  • Subdomain Mailbox Username: jsmith@support.myzen.co.uk
  • Spam Folder Username: jsmith/spam@support.myzen.co.uk

The remaining setup information will match your normal mailbox information.  An overview of this information is provided below;

E-Mail Address: <Same As Normal Mailbox>
Username:
    Default Mailbox: <username>/spam@zen.co.uk
    or
    Sub-domain Mailbox: <username>/spam<@subdomain.myzen.co.uk>
Password: <Same As Normal Mailbox>
SMTP Server: mailhost.zen.co.uk
POP Server: mailhost.zen.co.uk

Information on creating accounts for some popular e-mail programs can be found in the Knowledge Base.
