Separate guides to configuring your e-mail and news reader programs with this information can be found in the relevant sections of the Knowledge Base.
DNS and IP Information:
This information is only used for advanced setup, for example where a customer has multiple public IP addresses. If you are using your router in NAT this information will typically not be required.

An explanation of this information is provided below:
DNS Server: Both of Zen's DNS servers are listed. If prompted for DNS servers then fill in the IP addresses as listed here. However you may not need this information, as many modems and routers can pick them up automatically. If your router is able to obtain this information automatically we recommend doing so - as the DNS server addresses may change in the future.
IP Address Information: This information displayed here will depend on the number of IP addresses you have assigned to your account. When setting up your connection you should not need any of this information, unless you are configuring a router in Routed IP mode. Help for doing this can be found in the relevant hardware sections of the Knowledge Base.
When setting up your ADSL connection you may be prompted for the following general connection information:
- Connection Type: PPPoA
- VPI: 0
- VCI: 38
- Encapsulation: VC MUX (or VC Based)
- Modulation: G.DMT (or DMT)
- Authentication type: CHAP (May be listed as PAP or CHAP)
